Leonora Carrington

(Clayton Green, Lancashire, 1917)

Leonora Carrington was the daughter of a wealthy British textile family. He carried out his studies in various boarding schools between the United Kingdom, Italy and France. In 1937 she arrived in Paris and was related to the surrealist circle, which would lead her to become permanently involved with art. At the beginning of World War II, Carrington traveled to several countries, until in 1942 he settled permanently in Mexico, except for an intermittent period that passed in the United States, from 1985 to 1991.
